INFLUENCE OF YOUTH CADRE TRAINING ON YOUTH INTEGRATED HEALTH POST SKILLS IN KUNINGAN DISTRICT 2019
Abstract
The research results from Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) in 2016 as much as 19,4% of teenagers in Indonesia were active smokers. Survey results of The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2018, about 62,7% having sex before marriage, 21% have an abortion and 30% of adolescent infected with HIV. Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (SDKI) data in 2017 shows 36 of 1000 women giving birth at teenage age years or 15- 19 years old. In 2017, drug cases in Kuningan district ranked second among teenagers. Now, The youth health care program in Public Health Centre (Puskesmas) is a Youth Integrated Health Post (Posyandu). Youth Integrated Health Post in Kuningan has not been established in every village, Bayuning Village is one of the taget village of Kuningan of Health Science that has been formed first, but the activities have not been implemented properly. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of youth cadre training on youth integrated health post skills. The type of research is pre-experimentation with One Group Prestest – Post Test. Samples in this research used a total sampling of all Integrated Health Post Cadres in Bayuning Village with total 30 people. Data analysis using T-Test Paired Sample Test. The results of the analysis obtained the average skill score before training is 23,03 ±2,00 and the average skill score after given training is 25,67±1,2. The average value of the pre test score is less than the average post test score. The test result obtained p value = 0,000, so there is meaningful difference between the skill score before and after training. Teenage cadres are expected to manage Integrated Health Post well and consistently. Also, Kadugede Integrated Health Post and Institute of Health Science Kuningan can provide coaching routinely and evaluate the activities of adolescent Integrated Health Post, and the Bayuning Village officers to always provide support in facilitating adolescent posyandu cadres in carrying out their duties. So that it can increase the degree of adolescent health especially Bayuning Village
